Leigh Amateur Boxing Club hosted another successful show at Lowton Civic Hall on saturday evening with fifteen bouts featuring thirteen Leigh boxers. Great performances by Matty Burgess (Simpson Heald & Pearson Junior Boxer of the Night)and Sean Connor were followed with outstanding victories by Jonny Brown (Collins & Darwell Boxer of the Night), Tom Jones, Phil Hervey and Danny Jones (Tommy Sargeant Boxer of the Night). With solid shows from Jordan Lewis, Lewis Clark, Cameron Pierce, Ben Grimshaw and Michael Connor, the evening was topped of with a blistering winning performance by Ricky Blydgen who then proposed to his girlfriend Becca in the Ring to the delight of the sell-out crowd !
