Charlie Munro put in a dazzling performance on wednesday evening, appearing on the Runcorn ABC show opposite St Helens based Thomas Ludden of Sutton ABC. From the first bell the talented 12 year old Leigh boxer took the centre of the ring scoring with an array of venomous shots, and continued to both outbox and outpower his game opponent for the full three rounds.

Fifteen year old middleweight took on 2 time National champion Cory Gallant of Spennymore ABC in the Junior ABA National Quarter Finals at Everton Park on saturday, and in an absorbing contest just lost out on a points decision to his more experienced opponent. While undoubtedly the heavier pucher of the two, the Leigh boxer could never quite close down his slick North East based opponent.
